In order to buy bitcoins, local currency, like the U.S. dollar or Euro, must be exchanged for bitcoins. In this process trust users must trust the Bitcoin exchange to secure money and not run away with funds. It’s best to use a regulated Bitcoin exchange. Most exchanges offer information about their regulatory compliance on their websites. If an exchange seems shady and doesn’t offer information about regulation or who’s behind the site, it’s best to find a different exchange.
I easily and safely managed to buy bitcoins using your guide. So far my experience understanding all the information here has been fascinating and simple. I’ve shared with several colleagues at work. Thanks from the deepest of my heart for this!
I used LocalBitCoins just recently. Easy to do but the fees are excessive, I did a $600 “bank deposit” transaction and it cost $90 in fees. Good for emergency use but not very cost efficient. All the other “exchangers” mentioned seem to be having issues with too many new customers, verifications, delayed transactions, etc.
Yobit is popular within the English, Russian, and Chinese speaking crypto trader community. The website currently receives 10 million monthly visits. Nearly every single coin in existence is listed on Yobit. Some see such expansive listings as a disadvantage, while others enjoy being able to buy early before other exchange potentially list a coin.
The largest bitcoin exchange in the world at the moment in terms of US$ volume is Bitfinex, although it is mainly aimed at spot traders. Other high-volume exchanges are Coinbase, Bitstamp and Poloniex, but for small amounts, most reputable exchanges should work well. (Note: at time of writing, the surge of interest in bitcoin trading is placing strain on most retail buy and sell operations, so a degree of patience and caution is recommended.)
This is how traditional cash works; no one should know where past dollars were spent. “Since the absence of knowledge about the source or prior use of ZEC is generally accepted as a feature of the Zcash Network, the costs of accepting all ZEC are the same,” Beck writes. Bitcoin, on the other hand, forever records the provenance of its coins, thereby opening up the possibility for discrimination.
Binance is popular for supporting a wide range of cryptocurrencies. You can easily find the most popular ones including Bitcoin, Litecoin, ETH, and so on. Other coins that Binance supports are as follows:
This is an important question to ask. Yes, putting the words trustworthy bitcoin exchange in the same sentence seems like an oxymoron, especially when remembering the shiny days of MtGox (aka Empty-Gox). While the bitcoin protocol has never been hacked, many peripheral businesses have. Perhaps the best question to ask would be: which are the least secure bitcoin exchanges. Generally, those listed here are optimum and of good standing, but please proceed with caution. Remember never to leave more btc online than you can afford to loose.
Coinbase is 100% up there in my top sites to buy bitcoin. Why do I say this? Well first because they have the best UI for beginners. Second they are insured by Llyods bank. Third they have millions of users already. And finally because while their rates are not the best, they still offer relatively good commissions for buying using a card or bank transfer. It’s also a good place to get Ethereum without having to sign up to a new exchange you can use your existing account 🙂
Coinbase combine an attractive interface, a great site to get bitcoins with a debit card, and an insured online wallet for your digital currency. Over 30,000,000 users are signed up, including 75,000 merchants, and 15000 developer apps. Works well for European, and American customers. It started with just bitcoin trading but has now expended to include Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum & Litecoin. I’ve also written a comprehensive Coinbase review for more detail.
You may already know that using PayPal to buy bitcoin will entail high transaction fees. Some people prefer using Paypal when other deposit methods are not available to them. The following list of sites accept PayPal:
Hidden fees and caveats of all sorts are possible. Most cryptocurrencies are decentralized by nature, but most apps that simplify the process of buying, selling and owning crypto are centralized, and you’re forced to depend on the intentions and capabilities of the people who maintain them. For example, Coinbase has limits on how much money you can spend in a certain time frame; there’s also a limit on how much you can hold in your account at any given time.
Binance is capable of processing 1.4 mil orders/second, has multi-language support – Chinese, English, Korean, Japanese and has all the major coins available – BTC, ETH, LTC, BNB etc. Trading fee is 0.1%
Coinmama, based in Israel, accepts both credit card and cash (via Western Union or MoneyGram). I often recommend Coinmama as a backup option for buying BTC with a card when other exchanges are not accepting your card. Coinmama has a very flexible policy with regards to the amount of countries that are accepted (far more than Coinbase). Due to a relatively “offshore” location and cash deposit methods, Coinmama is another excellent site to keep things as private as possible. This goes without saying, the website is nicely designed and works perfectly on a mobile browser as well as desktop. As a beginner, my mother finds Coinmama really easy to use. Customer support is truly amazing compared to Coinbase or other large exchanges. I strongly believe that Coinmama will rise to become a very popular option.
If it’s the first time you use the card, you will receive a call from Indacoin with a 4-digit code, which should be entered on your order page. After that, you will have to enter a 3-digit code, which can be found on your online card statement next to the charge amount.
Those investors who had the foresight (or the fortune) to buy into bitcoin in its earliest days and then held onto the cryptocurrency when it took off over the past year are now extremely wealthy. (See more: Who Are the Top 5 Bitcoin Millionaires?) The largest digital currency in the world by market capitalization has performed excessively well in the past few years, and the result is that many casual investors who timed it right and held onto their BTC ended up as millionaires.
Definitely be interested to hear about the decentralized sites to buy bitcoin!! Are there many of these? I’m guessing the decentralization would stop anyone from being able to shut them down? Sound pretty neat. Take that Mr financial regulator
Yes. Buying bitcoins from regulatory compliant bitcoin exchanges is risky because you have to trust they will handle your documents with privacy and security. Like all information provided online the service provider could be hacked and have it stolen.
Lowest fees are probably on LocalBitcoins because you’re buying directly from other people and the site doesn’t take much, per trade. Using LocalBitcoins maybe requires a tad more technical know-how but the site is good and reliable and guides you through the process of signing up and initiating a trade nicely.
In my opinion what sets Binance apart from all the other crypo trading sites is that users can choose between an advanced trading interface or a simplified beginner-friendly one. Such a feature has proved immensely successful, as there are currently over 15 million monthly visits from pro-traders and newbies alike.
Bitcoin is the mainstream choice. If you’re looking for a cryptocurrency with first-mover advantage, unmatched popular visibility and the highest market capitalization, it’s a no-brainer. On the downside, it’s now nearly impossible to mine profitably, incredibly energy-intensive and, after rising more than 1,000 percent over the past year, could have expended most of its potential for growth. (This is debatable. No one knows anything.)

Bitpanda is an Austrian Start-Up Company that was founded in October 2014. The company allows you to buy Bitcoins or Ethereum with a credit card as well as with Wire transfers, Neteller, Skrill, SEPA and more. The company supplies its services to European countries only with a relatively low fee.
Grayscale says it plans to provide a public quotation on the share prices for its Zcash Investment Trust the end of 2018. The company has plans to create five new cryptocurrency funds (four single asset-specific and one basket) by the end of the first quarter of the year.
If you’re looking for your first exchange, you could do a lot worse than Coinbase, a U.S.-based cryptocurrency exchange with more than ten million users, operating in 32 countries around the world. Coinbase lets you deposit fiat money from a bank account, and trade Bitcoin, Ether, and Litecoin. And while there are hundreds of cryptocurrencies, these three are a very good, core trio. Each shows a lot of promise, each in its own different way.
When it comes to finding the best bitcoin exchange things are not all that easy. Why is this so? Simply because many of the best sites to buy bitcoin are rather recently online. This means that they have had little to get the word out about their services and products. Most people coming to this page will be asking how to buy bitcoin online through a secure means. Well, here is a good starting point. Let’s see how.
I found it very cheaper with 0 hidden fee! and the good thing that you don’t need to register or get verified to buy or sell btc you can take a look and let us know to be sure ! thanks in advance for the help.
Bitmex is the leading bitcoin margin trading site. Users can trade cryptocurrency derivatives with up to 100x leverage. Pairs include BTC/USD, Yen, Monero, Ripple, Dash, and Ethereum. Bitmex CEO Arthur Hayes has used his experience as an equity derivatives trader for Deutsche Bank to design, build, and maintain exactly the type of platform that users are looking for. Granted that this platform is for experienced and seasoned traders. Beginners should avoid trading coins here without knowing the implied volatility risks.
Yobit, a Russian-founded company first introduced on the BitcoinTalk forum in 2015. Widely criticised in online forums and not too much information to be found about them. Given the controversy surrounded we felt it only fair to look a little bit deeper at the exchange and see if they are being harshly judged. Read the review here, in short, not awful but recommend staying away!
Many users who had their bitcoin in Mt. Gox are still waiting to get it back. And even if you didn’t hold your bitcoin there, the incident triggered a massive price crash, in which Bitcoin lost over 70% of its value.

  1. Little suspicious Binance isn’t mentioned here. Especially considering Bittrex is closed to new users, and Bitfinex requires $10,000 in cash or crypto on their site before you can even trade. Also trading fees on Binance are .05% if you use their platforms currency for the transaction fee. I started with Coinbase, just to get my feet wet, and GDAX to learn how to trade. Moved to Binance to start trading in alt-coins not available on GDAX. Cost is almost nothing to move money(fiat/dollars) from my bank to Coinbase. Just takes a little time, about 5 business days for me. Little… Read more »

You need to look at the chart price on different time frames, such as hourly, weekly, monthly, yearly basis to find support and resistance. This way you will have an intelligent decision when to buy (or sell). Get free bitcoins here or earn more bitcoin by cloud mining.
A lot of you have asked me whether trading bitcoin is better than buying it. The answer depends on your goals, and experience of bitcoin trading. If you’re looking to hold bitcoin as a long-term investment and check the price intermittently, it’s better to buy bitcoin. This way you benefit from a small, one time exchange fee and the assurance that you hold a physical bitcoin in your wallet which can be spent at various retail stores.
ATMs are machines that will send bitcoin to your wallet in exchange for cash. They operate in a similar way to bank ATMs – you feed in the bills, hold your wallet’s QR code up to a screen, and the corresponding amount of bitcoin are beamed to your account. Coinatmradar can help you to find a bitcoin ATM near you.
