“ether +buy bitcoin with credit card”

Summary: Another Bitcoin exchange veteran, Kraken was also founded in 2011 like Bitstamp and managed to stay alive until today. Kraken is consistently rated as a top Bitcoin exchange by different news outlets and was also the first Bitcoin exchange listed on Bloomberg terminals. Kraken is also trusted by hundreds of  the Tokyo government and the BaFin regulated Fidor Bank.

If it’s lower fees you’re after, LocalBitcoins is another good option because the site simply puts buyers and sellers in contact with one other and offers an escrow service to ensure nobody gets ripped off. It is solely for bitcoin trading but a benefit it has is that it operates in all countries and buyers can pay for Bitcoins however they like, though most pay via cash deposit. Just remember to follow the rules of the site and beware of scammers.
Little suspicious Binance isn’t mentioned here. Especially considering Bittrex is closed to new users, and Bitfinex requires $10,000 in cash or crypto on their site before you can even trade. Also trading fees on Binance are .05% if you use their platforms currency for the transaction fee. I started with Coinbase, just to get my feet wet, and GDAX to learn how to trade. Moved to Binance to start trading in alt-coins not available on GDAX. Cost is almost nothing to move money(fiat/dollars) from my bank to Coinbase. Just takes a little time, about 5 business days for me. Little… Read more »
Unfortunately, if you’re in the US, Canada, Australia or most other parts of the world, you’ll be charged a bit more to withdraw funds. This is annoying because you’re effectively paying commission twice: once when you buy and once when you withdraw.
I just signed up Coinbase and I’m setting up payment method. It is strange that when I click “Add payment method”, the system shows me that they can only accept Visa or Master Card, and charge 3.99% convenience fee. Please help. I want to set up Bank Transfer method.Thank you.
Coinbase seems to be a good and bad choice at the time. BTC traders obviously value security, so the insurance feature is a great thing. However, it’s going to be cumbersome whenever it goes offline for hours on end whenever huge self-offs happen. Sure, the top users can move their coins using the multi-signature wallet, but that means the greater fraction of users is left to wait. Anyway, my interest got piqued by two things here: currency availability and remittance services. Currently, the US and European countries have many options to buy and sell BTC. Cex.io offers it in… Read more »
But it’s a bit more complicated than that, and there’s some serious notes of precaution to be aware of with a wallet. Cryptocurrency won’t just magically appear in your wallet out of thin air. You’ve gotta buy it, first. There are several ways to do that, but the easiest is to exchange a fiat currency—dollars, euros, pounds, etc—for some cryptocurrency. And the easiest place to do that is at an exchange.
Update: In late 2017 Kraken was temporarily unlisted here following extensive trading engine and UI issues. Thankfully, in January 2018 the website underwent a successful migration and all systems are now reported to be functioning to everyone’s satisfaction.
Guys, try with coinsign.com, they do bank wire for high end investors, they dont have any limits of any, the verification is very simple and fast, and they have very nice notification emails to each step of the purchasing. i mean i have made few transaction with big amounts, send it via SEPA, and it hits after 24h. the conversion went very fast and i have received it to my wallet. there are many like me that are looking for bank wire solution for high amounts, so far i didnt have any issues. worth trying them.
Gemini is not really suited for beginner users (which make up most of our visitors here). It’s a trusted trading site, and really good for placing large orders, but just not as easy to use as say, Coinbase.
Before you open an account and buy your first cryptocurrency, you need to think long and hard why you need it in the first place. If you’re here to trade, then just leave it on the exchange (or leave just enough so you can trade at volumes you’re interested in).
Finally, if you want low fees but still want to go the traditional exchange route, I’d recommend either Gemini, a New York-based site which offers some of the lowest fees around (but doesn’t operate in all states so check first to see if your state is catered for), or Kraken, which also charges low fees but can be a bit tricky for new users and the customer service isn’t all that great.
If it’s the first time you use the card, you will receive a call from Indacoin with a 4-digit code, which should be entered on your order page. After that, you will have to enter a 3-digit code, which can be found on your online card statement next to the charge amount.
Bitbay provides a nice selection of coins with bitcoin, litecoin, ether, and lisk all available to trade. Fees are acceptable too, although slightly higher than some bigger exchanges. The pros, particularly for Polish users far outweigh the cons. Domestic customers can even get a bitcoin credit card to start transacting regularly.
While Coinbase really does offer some very cool features for both beginners and experts, it is hard to believe that the best-funded bitcoin exchange out there persistently goes offline during large sell-offs. I urge caution if you are wanting to buy or sell your Bitcoin you may have to wait several hours just to sign in.
A lot of you have asked me whether trading bitcoin is better than buying it. The answer depends on your goals, and experience of bitcoin trading. If you’re looking to hold bitcoin as a long-term investment and check the price intermittently, it’s better to buy bitcoin. This way you benefit from a small, one time exchange fee and the assurance that you hold a physical bitcoin in your wallet which can be spent at various retail stores.
CryptoGo is a 3rd party that will go through many different cryptocurrency exchanges and buy you the coin you wish – any coin available. Basically a bitcoin broker or crypto broker. It makes cryptocurrency purchases easy and convenient as they handle all deposits and transfers, two of the most confusing and difficult aspects of crypto trading for first-timers, on the trader’s behalf, ensuring that their money is well placed. A big plus is that you can exchange fiat currency for any virtual currency, an extremely rare option in the current exchange range. For a thorough look at this new platform, check out my in-depth analysis.
Trading fees: Low trading fees are important for the growth of any exchange. In this regard, Binance is very competitive and only charges 0.1% fee for each trade. Moreover, it should be noted that you can get a discount of 50% if you use their token BNB for trading. The discount is huge and it brings down the overall trading fees to just 0.05% which is one of the lowest in the exchange ecosystem.
Ethereum has the backing of some boldface names — which could be a benefit or drawback, depending on your opinion of the modern financial industrial complex. It has the potential for intrinsic value like Litecoin or bitcoin but also more obvious commercial applications as well. And, like bitcoin, it has spawned hundreds of other coins that have been built using its underlying blockchain technology.
Entering all my information was just as straightforward as everything else. The problem was that I couldn’t exit this screen. Neither the “buy” nor “not now” option registered. I had to press the X and start all over.
People who are into bitcoin buying can readily do it at Coinmama which is an exchange service online for bitcoin purchasing through the use of e-wallet or debit/credit card. However, they do not accept PayPal.
Second, it is possible the charges are classified as cash advances in which cases different fees or policies may apply. So, be sure you are familiar with your credit card company and how they handle purchases of bitcoins.
I’d say Coinbase is the easiest way for newbies to buy Bitcoin because the site specifically caters to those who may not be all that familiar with cryptocurrencies. Admittedly, the fees are a little on the steep side compared to, say, LocalBitcoins and Kraken, but the good thing about using Coinbase is that you don’t have to worry too much about security.
Each Bitcoin exchange has different buying limits, which often varies depending on level of identity verification. At Coinbase, for example, regular users may only purchase up to $1,000 worth of bitcoins per day. Fully verified users, however, can buy up to $50,000 per day. Most exchanges offer a FAQ page online where the different levels of verification are explained.
Bitcoin remains the most visible and frequently traded cryptocurrency. After a remarkable surge in November 2017, it crested at just shy of $20,000 in late December 2017, and after settling in around $15,000 for a few weeks, shed another 50 percent of its value after South Korean regulators publicly mulled banning trading. The price of Litecoin, sometimes referred to as the “silver” to bitcoin’s “gold,” followed a valuation trend similar to bitcoin and now sits at around $160. Though all three have increased in value during the past 12 months, Ethereum has charted its own distinct path, spiking in June 2017 and surpassing $1,000 in early January 2018.
Then, you put in a buy order. You choose how much money you want to spend, and which cryptocurrency you want to buy. After a wait, which usually doesn’t take too long, you’ll see some BTC/ETH in your account.
The UI is appealing and rather easy to use as a beginner. Just make sure you understand those basic trading terms for placing buy/sell orders efficiently. Fees are currently set at 0.2 percent of your trade – a relatively competitive rate.
And yes—things have changed since Mt. Gox. There are well-funded exchanges out there, backed by well-known VC funds, overseen by regulatory bodies like the New York State Department of Financial Services. None of this guarantees your money as totally safe, though. Same with the new, decentralized exchanges that are coming—exchanges which promise to keep your money safe, by means of technology instead of authority. We’ll come to see how well they work. That said?
Bitfinex’s high volume is key for traders as it ensures a low spread. More than 5.77 million bitcoins traded through it from April 2017 to October 2017 alone, which is double the volume of Kraken (3.6M BTC) and Coinbase (3.06M BTC). For newcomers, the complicated interface makes costly mistakes more probable while the lack of fiat funding options makes it impossible to use regular money to buy cryptocurrencies. However, experienced crypto traders will find everything they need at Bitfinex.
Formerly known as Bitx, Luno is a bitcoin exchange and wallet provider, they only offer bitcoin trading and ethereum trading. Launched in 2013, their reach is massive, currently serving traders in over 42 countries. It has a lot of similarities as Coinbase, however only sticking to bitcoin reduces its draw for traders however the fact that they cover so many countries is a selling point. For more analysis, read my in-depth review.
First thing to consider when looking for the top bitcoin exchange is how safe are the website and server. This boils down to asking: is it a trustworthy exchange providing transparent data of coins in cold storage (more on this later) and are customers happy? It’s also good to lookout for which currency pairs are available: are you looking to trade bitcoin for USD, Euros, or other fiat currencies. The location usually gives an idea of what’s on offer. However, the largest bitcoin sites usually have many options for buying bitcoin with government issued currency and altcoins.
You can pay for them in a variety of ways, ranging from hard cash to credit and debit cards to wire transfers, or even with other cryptocurrencies, depending on who you are buying them from and where you live.
